Samantha James is an American based dance musician who came about in 2007. Her soulful, house, balearic, summery sound is one that just puts your mind at rest and is brilliant to do creative work to. Her 2010 offering Subconscious is a fantastic blend of all the sounds mentioned above, and is comparable to a more chilled out Ellie Goulding with an American twist. Definitely worth a listen, especially if you need that mental escape to a summer of yesteryear.
Check out Amber Sky, a personal favourite of mine from Subconscious, and her other album Rise too.

Has your star sign changed? Mine has...

I’m not one to care about star signs and all that rubbish, but I looked out of curiosity today and found that I now fall under the new star sign Ophiuchus (pronounced: I don’t have a clue). Just thought it was kinda cool to now be part of something new :) new year, new change and all that.

I suck.

So this whole updating every week thing hasn’t got off to a flying start. However I am not to blame, it’s my dissertations fault. As a creative I think it’s torturing and just down-right mean to make us have to do a dissertation. However a week today it will be handed in and I will be able to embark on all manor of fun things the week after! <3 In the meantime, lets get bitchin’, bitches!

This song came up on tv at the back end of 2010, and in all honesty I find it hilariously awful. Beyoncé has a habit of releasing a string of good quality pop songs, and then stumbles when she gets a bit too big for them ghetto boots of hers and has to try prove herself all fierce and shit.

All I’ll say is, just learn where to draw the line Beyoncé. Sorry, Bey!

Big things are gonna happen for this man in 2011. Jamie Woon is one of the best voice talents I have heard in a while.

A new year.

Huzah! I now have a blog. One more thing to be struck off the ‘to do’ list.

Not much to report on as this is the first day of a whole new year. 2010 was a brilliant year, so much happened, changed, upset and delighted me.

I am planning on updating this bad boy as and when I can, documenting everything and anything that is useful, inspiring, funny as the weeks of 2011 progress.

Here’s to the next one :]
